2025's Head Coach Announcement
The Edmonton Expos are thrilled to announce the selection of Gage Otto as the head coach for the 2025 18U AAA Team. With a strong background in baseball and a commitment to player development, Gage is excited to lead the team on their journey for success.
Coaching Experience:
- Alumni of St. Francis Xavier Baseball Academy: Gage honed his skills and understanding of the game at this prestigious academy, where he developed a strong foundation in both the technical and strategic aspects of baseball.
- Developmental Baseball Camps: Gage has an extensive background in coaching youth at developmental camps through Lethbridge PBA, where he worked with players aged 6-17, emphasizing skill development and a love for the game.
- Assistant Coach, SJP 18U AA Team (2022): Gage gained valuable experience as an assistant coach, helping to guide the team through their season while furthering his coaching knowledge and leadership skills.
- Head Coach, Expo 18U AAA team (2023-2024)
- Assistant Coach, Women's Team Alberta: Open Women's National Championship in Quebec City, Quebec in August 2024
Coaching Philosophy: Gage believes in fostering a collaborative and encouraging environment where players can improve their skills, build confidence, and develop teamwork. His focus is on both individual player development and cultivating a strong team culture.
With Gage Otto at the helm, the Edmonton Expos are eager for a promising and impactful 2025 season with the 18U AAA Team!
The Expos are also excited to have Assistant Coaches Nolan Dechaine returning.
Nolan's experience includes playing for Lethbridge PBA and Riverhawk's Collegiate. Nolan has been instrumental in the Edmonton Expos off-season program. His rapport with the players and knowledge of the game has benefitted our 18U players the past two seasons.
