Edmonton Expos Player Transfer Guidelines 2026
*All player transfers must fall under the guidelines as per Baseball Alberta player transfers: Baseball Alberta Player Transfers
*Beyond Baseball Alberta guidelines, if any Edmonton Expos player wishes to transfer to another association, the following steps are required:
1.Written notice to Edmonton Expos President informing of a desire to transfer and the reasons for wanting a player transfer before Jan 30, 2026.
2.The Edmonton Expos Player Transfer Committee will meet with the player and parents to discuss the transfer request.
The committee will honour a player transfer as per the following guidelines:
A.The player requesting a transfer has a sibling currently playing with the incoming association.
For example, if the player is in 13U and their older sibling plays 18U BAEL for the same inbound association and family wants both players together for logistical purposes.
B.The player requesting a transfer has a problematic history with an upcoming coach that has been documented and mediated upon by Edmonton Expos during a past season(s).
C. The Player Transfer Committee determines that honouring the transfer would be mutually beneficial to both the player/family and the Edmonton Expos organization.
3. After your transfer is approved, your new association must initiate the transfer in Spordle and then Edmonton Expos will approve the transfer.
4. If the Edmonton Expos Player Transfer Committee denies the transfer request, the requesting family can then appeal the decision through Baseball Alberta. This appeal process outlined in the Baseball Alberta Handbook.
